Autumn and Aran

  Happy Fall Readers! I'm using the "Homemade Apple" font in making this post today, I personally love writing in cursive, although mine isn't quite as neat, I think it is apropos to celebrate the recent change in weather! Quite nice, quite nice indeed. Finally, I have had a reason to wear my "fisherman's" cardigan. A long while ago, or perhaps not too long ago, or perhaps even still today, there was a time where fisherman's wives would make them elaborately stitched jackets, vests, sweaters, maybe even socks. There is a bit of a story here, and I feel bold enough to tell it, admittedly only in half-truths.   Fishermen, for those unlearned in the ways of the oceanic occupation, are usually gone for elongated periods of time, doing grueling and sometimes dangerous work. Quick Breads- White Nut Loaf

Fruit bread recipe.  The quick breads-- they're easy and quick to make-- are leavened with baking powder, soda, steam, or air. They include biscuits, muffins, shallow loaves like cornbread and coffeecakes, deep loaves as nut breads, steamed breads, spoon breads, popovers, griddle cakes, and waffles. Most of them are served hot.      Mix quick loaf breads as quickly as possible, often following the muffin method of mixing. Place strips of waxed paper crosswise and lengthwise of the pan before adding batter.      Quick loaf breads are baked in a moderate to hot oven, according to to the depth of  batter in the pan, the character of the dough, and the type of baking utensil.     Don't be surprised if the top crust cracks; it often does because it browns before the center has finished rising and as the center expands, it breaks through the top cru...
