This recipe was directly transcribed from a weathered 5x4 index card, it is yellowed paper, which someone, somehow, used a typewriter to put this recipe onto this index card. On the card itself.
For Best Foods Mayonnaise) it appears that the number one has been written over to look like the letter L, I'm interpreting this as one large cup, meaning rounded or overflowing. If there are any other interpretations of this please inform me and I will update this page.
The top right corner is slightly bent, as is the bottom left. This was found in a recipe book, placed in the front of the pages. The corners hint to me that perhaps, previously, it was kept in a cardholder somewhere else. The top right corner of the recipe, where it says "Mix this... bowl" is also typewritten, but the { is actually a hand-drawn line around and under this block of text. There is a short arrow pointing from the circled part, directly to the "small bowl" ingredients list.
